French Immersion 8th Grade Students Graduation in May

Just happened

We had our first teachers' meeting on April 2nd, 2008

That was a concentrated time of sharing; where teachers have shared their heart and desires and exchange with some parents. Both issues and hopes have been shared, it was an honest and open time. We have defined some priorities for all of us to tackle; most of them will start to unfold over the next weeks unto the summer. We all have a packed schedule.

1) We are opening online tools for the teachers and we encourage teachers to share the info with other teachers. Do contact us about it - main link will be: prof@ lesamisdelimmersion.com

2) We will be working on a welcoming program to teachers arriving in our parish: helping them to settle and learn their way around and focus more on their work than outside necessities. "Lafayette Accueil"

3) Also we are launching an Alumni program for our French Immersion Students; life doesn't stop @ the 8th grade. Please, if you know former students of Immersion, let 's get connected back together -

4) the main design for our new web site has been selected by the people present at the meeting - Our new Web Site coming soon - Instead of modifying the actual Web Site, we decided to go ahead and launch the new one - most of the pages will still be under construction but like that; you will see the final job as it is completed. Again, we want your ideas for this site - take your pen and share.

Many others subjects have been approached - many tasks to tackle and all are welcome to give a hand.
